Tena koutou,

Happy Matariki celebrations.
We have started our week by learning all of the names of the seven stars in this lovely waiata

We also have planted some silver beet, as the Maori people always used Matariki as a time to harvest and grow crops, as well as collect kaimoana.

There will be lots of photos to come through the coming weeks.

Kia pai to wiki. Kia kaha to reo!

Fa'afetai Lava BMPS Aiga!

What a great week we have had. Today (Friday), we celebrated by making Sapa Sui together as a class.

It was a lot of fun to do some cooking together, and we had very happy manava! (stomachs)

All of the students looked beautiful in their traditional wear. Here are some photos.

Enjoy the long weeked, and some of our photos from this beautiful Samoan language week :)
